WW2 Third pattern, this is a very interesting example as its had a very well made leather and brass stacked grip added(these style of grips are often referred to as theatre made). The blade is a typical late war machine ground example and the cross guard is typical of any wartime FS knife. This example is in a made to fit bayonet scabbard possibly off a mauser and And has a leather frog of kinds holding it securely to a 37 pattern web belt. Blade is held securely in place. Overall a nice item and probably unique.
