A decent example of a 2nd pattern fighting knife, totally sterile as is often seen on the latest of the second pattern, belt flap section of the original scabbard is missing. There is string whipping to the grip probably to bulk up the thinnest section of the grip for a comfortable fit to the hand. All wartime British fighting knives are getting harder to find and some now command hefty prices, this example is bargain.

WW2 Second pattern fighting knife.
