WW2 medal group to Arthur James Wainright 4688449 of the Green Howards (The Yorkshire Regiment). KIA on July 19th 1944. The medals have never been removed from the envelopes. Some research included see photos. The Green Howards went ashore D-day and where the furthest in land on day one. The medals consist of a France/Germany star, 39/45 star, war medal and defence medal. All in original box with original condolence slip. Worthy of further research. The CWGC certificate state the the stone as saying he gave his life for his friends.
