An excellent example of a WW2 British ARP  shelter wardens MK2  helmet, dated 1939 to its shell with an early MK1 liner. The inside of the helmet shows the original green paint typical of pre war and early war helmets the outside is painted white with W for Warden to both the front and rear of helmet which has its original chinstrap also, there is a period label on the inner rim with WA written on and WA is scratched into the paint inside the helmet. Overall a difficult to improve upon helmet.
