Scarce Belgian WW1 trench knife, these knives where made in Belgium and in Sheffield by Sanderson when the Belgians where unable to produce there own. I believe they are made from Belgian bayonet blades. This example is in great condition, no visible marks which would suggest it’s an earlier Belgian example. The Grip has been period customised with some simple decoration and has been rounded off to allow for a comfortable grip.
