Father and son group, Mons Star and Victory medal to William Ellicott 9053 1st East Lancashire regiment. William was a POW and is worthy of further research, he also was involved in a rail accident when he was a train guard and again worthy of more research, the son J Ellicott was in the East Yorkshire regiment in WW2 and his Africa star group is also included, he also like his father became a prisoner of war captured in the western desert reported as injured and in the hands of the Germans, there was also another brother whose medals are not included perhaps staying with his widows family as he died of an accident in the field in Italy serving with the 10th Hussars. The family were residents of Blackley, Lancashire.
