A good condition 1918 dated, war economy whistle made of steel or tinplate, often from recycled biscuit tins. Few of these whistles survived the war as most war economy items where destroyed after WW1, plus the rust unlike the regular brass examples. This one is in fine condition for its 100 plus years.
