Wilkinson Sword Jungle Knife was offered to the British MOD Ministry Of Defence however the war had ended and the MOD did not take up the contract so it was then released for commercial sales. Bowie style blade with signs of use. The engraving on the blade is Wilkinson Sword London. The design of the knife uses the hilt of a Pattern 1908 Cavalry Sword and is complete with original scabbard. Only 700 of these knives were made and they are rare. This example is in good condition although the scabbard show signs of use and has been reinforced in places. Normally the scabbard would be brown but this example is dyed black.
Interestingly the rear of the scabbard has an early 50s army service number applied.
