An excellent large glass framed hand coloured photo of Pte William Robert Adolf, 9th battalion Liverpool kings, with his certificate for a silver war badge, issued after he was wounded during the battle of the Somme. The certificate is rather tatty and was found attached to the rear of the framed picture. The image is of interest as it shows William wearing his cor blimey cap with Liverpool kings badge.
Lots of digital research, revealing that William lived in 2 Greenleaf street in the Smithdown road part of Liverpool, he would have paraded in the Everton part of the city.
