A rare to find private purchase Imperial Germany S71/84 dress or walking out bayonet, these where bought as a side arm and not normally designed to fit a rifle, as is the case with this example, a narrow rifle slot, under size muzzle ring and faux bayonet release catch. It exhibits lovely wooden grips held in place with extra finish rivets and chrome plated throughout, made by Carl Kaiser & Co. Solingen. Complete with its original leather mounted scabbard, lined in wood.
