Desirable folding ruler pen knife, made by Ibbitson of Sheffield with their Violin trademark, has a regular blade and small nail knife with file, ruler folds out to 12 inches or 30cm, the blank side has Stewart’s and Lloyds Ltd engraved on it a steel tube manufacturer originally from Glasgow but with steelworks in Birmingham and London as well, they would have been nationalised in the late 40s so would estimate this knife was manufactured in the 20s or 30s. Lovely little knife and as with all these knives with rules or measuring implements much sought after.
