A pair of medals to Scottish brothers from Glasgow, Ronald was with the Kings own Scottish Borderers and the Silver war medal is his, he was killed in action on the first day of the Somme. He also served in the Boer war with the 9th (Glasgow battalion) Highland Light Infantry and was entitled to a 3 bar QSA. The victory medal is to his younger Brother William who was Serving in the 9th Glasgow battalion HLI. He served throughout the war in France but died near the end in Glasgow of pneumonia. Included is an original HLI 9th battalion cap badge and an imperial service bar badge plus other bits, I have plenty of research as well but to much to upload on one listing. A very nice group of medals probably split up by the family, 1st day of Somme medals always being amongst the most desirable.
