A scarce to find 1858 pattern Yataghan bayonet much less common than the 1856/58 examples. This has a clean and bright blade that’s been well preserved by the scabbard. I would guess at it being a Volunteer unit example as it’s completely unmarked apart from a crown over 78 on the edge side of the spine near the ricasso. The scabbard has all its stitching intact and has not shrunk. Overall a decent example.
